Kentucky Bourbon has a new home in Manchester.

What was once an old, vacant building, covered in chipped paint and broken windows has begun its transformation into Clay County’s first distillery.

Yes, we could’ve boarded up the windows, placed a trailer inside, and called it a day.

But Manchester deserved so much more.

So here’s to the start of a special journey. One that will shed light on the magical history of this town and its incredible people.

Manchester Kentucky Bourbon is hand-crafted and proudly finished with experience and soul by award-winning Master Distiller Mark Coffman. Our bourbon hails from Manchester, Kentucky – a historic and picturesque town in the heart of the Kentucky Appalachians.

The Appalachian Mountains are ideal for creating the perfect conditions for bourbon making. The region’s fertile soil provides the highest-quality corn, while the abundant limestone deposits filter the water. The hot summers and cold winters age the wooden barrels by alternately absorbing and releasing the whiskey inside. This gives the spirit its amber color and distinctive taste.

We are excited to release our “Founder’s Reserve” in 2025 – Manchester Distilling’s first batch of Kentucky bourbon.

Founder’s Reserve will be a 6-year-old, 90-proof bourbon with wildly unique flavors and characteristics. The mash bill will consist of 70% Corn, 15% Rye, and 15% Malted Barley. One should expect a sweet vanilla nose, well-balanced mouthfeel, and smooth, charred wood notes on the finish.
